View Video about FCPS online Campus and Choose high resolution

Personalization - The students speak in their own voices, from their own experiences. There is ethnic and gender diversity of speakers. This also markets to the high school student, who is the target audience of the site.

Coherence - When the user plays the video, there is just audio narration, no text. This makes a very simple, yet effective and persuasive presentation. The user can concentrate on the video to discern its main points.

Redundancy - Most of the selling of the online campus is through the video, not the text on the web, even though there is some text to aid potential students. By using the video as its primary media, visitors will not be confused and will gain a better understanding of what the online campus is about.

Hi Paul,

This is a very good example for all the three principles. There is use of only audio to present the real-life cases that can inspire students to take online classes. Also, the video targets students with different learning style, needs and motivation by showcasing individuals with different backgrounds for joining the online courses. There is natural and real conversation among the students which makes the video engaging and easy to understand. I think that there is use of background music in the video but it is not distracting the learning and hence does not violate the coherence principle. Good example!

Thanks,
Aanal

I think this video is a good example of how a concise message can be presented in a very short amount of time (under two minutes).

They managed to get in a good deal of pertinent information in like the rolling enrollment, instructor availability, the various types of students who would benefit, what real world benefits of on-line programs are, contact information, etc.
